Ava DuVernay to direct Disney's A Wrinkle in Time - Collider
35After months of speculation, looks like we finally know what Selma director Ava DuVernay will take on as her next directing project. According to a report from Deadline, DuVernay will direct an adaptation of the Madeline L’Engle novel A Wrinkle in Time for Disney. Though she entered preliminary talks to helm Marvel’s Black Panther, she decided the movie wasn’t right for her and she and Marvel amicably parted ways. A Wrinkle in Time revolves around a young girl whose government scientist father goes missing after working on a mysterious project. The search for her father takes her to alternate dimensions where she crosses paths with a variety of different creatures.
