With director John Hillcoat’s (Lawless) Triple 9 opening this weekend, I recently sat down with Aaron Paul for an extended video interview. During our wide ranging conversation he talked about working with the all-star cast, memorable moments from filming, collaborating with Kevin Hart and “national treasure” Dwayne Johnson on Central Intelligence, his new TV project The Path, the international success of Need for Speed and a potential sequel, his reaction to Better Call Saul and how he wants to have some lines on the show, and a lot more.

If you haven’t seen any of the trailers, Triple 9, scripted by Matt Cook, follows an interconnected web of thieves and corrupt officers who plan to murder a cop in order to draw attention away from the heist they’ll be pulling on the other side of town. The film features an all-star cast made up of Paul, Casey Affleck, Woody Harrelson, Kate Winslet, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Anthony Mackie, Gal Gadot, Teresa Palmer, and Norman Reedus.

Aaron Paul:

What is life like for him post-Breaking Bad?
Has he reached a point where he doesn’t have to audition for roles anymore?
On not landing a role in The Revenant.
When he was approached for Triple 9, was the all-star cast already in place?
Was there someone in the cast he was excited to work with for the first time?
On interacting with the cast off set.
On visiting “the In & Out of strip clubs” in Georgia.
Is there a day or two he’ll always remember from filming?
What is it about director John Hillcoat that draws in amazing actors to be a part of his projects?
What was it like collaborating with Kevin Hart and “national treasure” Dwayne Johnson on Central Intelligence?
On his new TV project, The Path.
Was he looking to doing another TV show after Breaking Bad?
On the international success of Need for Speed and a potential sequel.
On his plans for 2016, including a passion project with his Breaking Bad producers.
His reaction to Breaking Bad spinoff Better Call Saul.
