An early, not so well known arcade title from Atari is Avalanche, a paddle-based game about catching falling rocks. If the concept seems a bit familiar, that's because Activision ripped it off to make Kaboom! for the 2600 and Atari 8-bit, and did a much better job of marketing their own game in the process!

Atari A to Z Flashback is a weekly series that gradually works its way through the 150 arcade, Atari 2600 and Atari 5200 games that comprise the Atari Flashback Classics compilation for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
