Ilyana was one of the units that got a new skill in this remastered series because she has one of the skills that is useless in actual battle. She normally has Shade, but in Unlimited, it is replaced with the ability to choose who goes first. It kind of makes sense because units with Shade/Stillness avoid the gaze of enemy units and can strike when they want. This opens up more opportunities for Ilyana to snag some more wins as she normally gets 1 shot because of how slow and frail she is. There are still some instances where she will opt to attack second because she doesn't have the firepower to defeat some enemies in one go. Even with this buff, Ilyana is still a little too frail and slow to do much more.

The unit who goes first, is the one with the higher base speed stat. (Unless someone has Shade or Stillness in which case, they choose who goes first). If both units have the same speed, the unit whose video it is, goes first.

For weapons, the unit who is faster chooses the weapon they want and then the unit they are attacking gets to choose a weapon to counter them with. The unit who attacks first, goes through all the possible weapon combinations and picks whatever situation would give them the best chance at victory. After the initial turn, the only time a unit can change their weapon is on their turn.
