The AViiQ Portable Quick Stand is spired by origami that folds flat and then into a triangle stand. The Quick Stand should support laptops up to 17-inch, weighs in at 3.4-ounces, and fold flat to about 3/8-inch. When folded into stand mode, the gadget sort of resembles Apple's Smart Cover for the iPad 2. Although the stand looks to be nice simple design with a hinge that allows it to fold flat, rather than fold together with magnets.
The stand can place the laptop on various angles depending where it is positioned. The stand also allows an angle for more ergonomic typing, and also improved airflow for cooling.
