One man describes the message behind The Breakfast Club.


I honestly thought this was a pretty decent idea, not realising it's like the major theme of ALOT of stuff, that might say something about me...


Realistically I mean it in a way where if you stop instantly labelling things you might begin to see the world as a more interconnected place rather than all in little boxes. And you might just realise you like more things/people than you thought. You can't live in the world without labels, but in the back of your mind remember that they aren't a big deal.


I tried to stay away from getting into specifics, because that is always going to cause shit. But as much as the Tribalism of labels gives us a sense of community, it also by extension gives us 'Others', the enemies that put us down or don't understand us or whatever. If we didn't make those boxes for ourselves in the first place maybe we'd be more inclined to get along. Each side is just as bad.


As a side note, at one point I say we shouldn't judge people on how they act, and by that I mean by someones dialect, vocabulary and body language rather than the things they do. If someone speaks dead posh and acts all proper it doesn't make them inherently good or bad, but if they love beating up old ladies it's a bit of a bad sign.
