Three excellent themes from an epic game that Shadow of the Colossus is. I've been planning this for a while now.

-SILENCE- (0:05)

This plays as you're approaching some of the colossi in the game, particulary Avion, the giant bird. The violin in this piece can calm you down or invoke a sense of tension. You know you need to take those beasts down, but most of them aren't really that agressive... so, who is the real beast?

-A DESPAIR-FILLED FAREWELL- (1:52)

While this theme isn't exclusive for playing during the fight with Avion, it's renowned for it. This fight is intense and the view of that giant bird doing a barell roll with you clinging onto its wing is just... awe-inspiring. Several viewers may recognize the latter part as the theme of The Autarch of Flame himself ;)

-COUNTERATTACK- (4:01)

If I remember correctly, Phalanx is the largest, least agressive and one of the most epic colossi to fight in the game. First you need to catch up to him on Agro, then jump and start a long climb as you're flying WAAAY high! I especially like the first part of the theme, but the entire soundtrack is grand, so... yeah.
