Awesome Video Game Music 408: Gideon Wrath, Part I & II
101While I don't know much about Scott Pilgrim (blame me for not living in America or Canada, heh), the game he starred in is a really good beat'em up with jamming music. With tons of video game references to boot. Every stage and boss theme is great, but the ones when you fight Ramona's final evil ex-boyfriend, Gideon Graves, are almost out of this world.
To be honest, I like Part I more, because it has that awesome guitar riff! Besides, it DOES play during the final battle (against Gideon with Pixel Katana). It may be a little short and repetitve, but catchy as hell!
Part II is more dynamic and chaotic, considering you're facing what seems to be Gideon's homage to Kefka Palazzo from Final Fantasy VI. The sword you can use during this confrontation strangely reminds me of Crissaegrim from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and makes the fight so much easier.
