8I played this again by myself with the developers commentary on, and learned a bit more behind his motivations and struggles.
As a fellow creator, I am familiar with fighting against your inner critic. Creating art is a close and very deep passion of mine, and while I struggle from time to time to keep myself from drowning under negative thoughts, there is nary a more rewarding thing on this earth than creating something.
