I have had this RC for nearly 2 years now. Here is my long overdue video of every single part/piece/whatnot that I changed/broke/homebrewed/&such that in the end gave me a trail rig I could take out with nothing but confidence. Forgot the tools? Nah no biggy. Unless a screw falls out :P Not that it ever happened or anything.

I did forget to mention, though it goes without saying I would think... I've lost count of how many bearings I have had seize up and need replaced while I've had this. That's mainly due to TONS of deep muddy/nasty water and mud running with cleanup being blasting it with a water hose when I got home. I just don't have time to fully disassemble it after every time out, and a full set of Fast Eddie bearings was $20 shipped so I went the always have spares route lol.

If you saw something that I did to this rig in the video that you want more info/tutortial stuff on how I did it, comment below! I just may make a video of your comment in my build up of the new vehicle that I traded this one for!

Just so it's broken down into a list style format, here is everything I can think of at the moment that was done to this RC:

-Metal links

-4 linked front and rear both

-Metal steering links as well

-Replaced the one composite gear in steering servo with a steel one.

-Went through the entire vehicle before I trailed it at all. Marine grease everywhere it needs to be. Sealed the receiver box.

-Tons of scale mods/additions. Some purchased some handmade buy yours truly such as the roll cage padding, wooden crate, tarp, sleeping bag, straps, fuel cell, probably more I'm forgetting.

-Front and rear metal differential guards

-Very sturdy rear bumper I built using spare driveshaft tubes. It's stiff enough I store the truck by hanging it from the rear bumper so that it's not sitting on its tires flat spotting them over time.

-STRC Steering knuckles

-Atomik RC (think I said STRC in the video, close enough) c-hubs

-Robinson Racing Pinion and (I THINK) Spur as well.

-Cut bump stops off the shock shafts for more travel and added thicker oil (60wt I believe is currently in there)

Also here's how to very cheaply weight trail rig wheels:
Remove your tires (front only to start with, test drive then if needed weight the back afterwards). Wrap lead core solder around the wheel itseld, only in the center where it will be fully covered back up by the tire. Get the thickest you can find. I got it at hobby lobby for like $8 and had WAY more than I needed. Enough to do 2 or 3 trucks for sure. After wrapping an equal amount on each wheel, cover it (the solder wire) with electrical tape really tight so that it doesn't move around or rub a hole in your tires. Then put the tires back on. You may have to cut your tire foams down a little since they'll fit tighter with space taken up by the solder. Just be sure you get the lead core solder since it's a lot heavier than flux core solder.

And there you have it folks! Hope you enjoyed this whole bunch of info =)
