Here are my thoughts and opinions on the upcoming hack and slash, Axiom of Maria. At this point in time Axiom of Maria is in early access and currently being worked on by Studio Ganzheit. This indie game was in my sights for a bit, but I haven’t bought the prologue as I was doing other things. The story of Axiom of Maria is pretty interesting, “Due to population decline and epidemic, Seoul has become a ghost town, and the preservation and management of the city is entrusted to AI. The deceased are backed up into a virtual world called Beyond”. Kay, the main character, is looking for her husband that’s gone. He was in a group called Irregulars. A group trying to free the consciousness in the Beyond. At first I didn’t care, but I got interested after revisiting everything. The gameplay is good, but it’s still cooking. It’s hitting a lot of one button with some others mixed in there sometimes. I feel more could be done with that combat, but I didn’t include that in the video. Lastly the music is stellar! Nothing else to say there lol. Give the steam demo a shot and if you like it more consider buying the prologue for the early access.
