I've played the game for about four hours and found that Vulkan is the only setting that really works; OpenGL has terrible graphic issues and Software is completely unplayable. Anyways, with every GPU Rederer, the game freezes (sometimes way too often) for about two or three seconds and then goes back to normal, but it's not a game breaking issue.
When you load the game, you may find that, even you haven't touched anything and it was running fine when you closed it, it has become unplayable as if the settings have changed. The solution is to randomly change some of the settings and change them back to how they were. Weird but it works.
