⌖ Welcome to Azur Lane. A side-scrolling shooter (for Android and iOS devices) that actually plays like nothing I've had the pleasure of experiencing up until this point.
But then again I'm not a huge mobile fan nor am I really all that well versed in the genre so there could be tons of games just like this, who knows.
Anyway, Azur Lane is set in an alternate timeline of World War II where players take on the form of female moe anthropomorphic characters based on warships that were present during the war.
The game essentially consists of a lot of story, building characters that you can date and marry, oh wait I forgot to mention that earlier? Whoops.
Then finally taking them out to engage enemy fleets and ultimately win the war. Or save the world. Or save the world by winning the war. I dunno. I was just engrossed with the adorable graphics, fun combat style and super cute characters.
