So it's time for the big finale. And Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 holds up the tradition of having a boss rush in the final stages, only here it's just the 4 that you're character initially fought, so it's much shorter then others. But at then end awaits Zonda, and it's here where we find out why Eden is so intent on taking Mytyl, and why the shards react to her. Apparently, Mytyl was actually an Adept, and the muse was originally her Septima. She wasn't able to handle all the power initially, so her father surgically removed it from her, causing her to lose her voice. Sumeragi took the Muse and implanted it into Joule, who was compatible with it so they could use it for their own deeds. And the rest is history. But now, we get to have a proper fight with Zonda. Although this first fight turns out to be just a copy, the real one is inside with Mytyl. And since we happened to bring the mirror shards right to her, they leave Lola and surround Mytyl. After which, Zonda takes them and merges with the power of the Muse, taking on a form very familiar to those who've played the Mega Man Zero games. And so the final boss fight begins. __
