Time for lightning to strike once again. Gunvolt is back and this time Copen is along for the ride as a new playable character, sporting his own little Muse.

We start out with a meeting of Sumeragi associates, lamenting over the loss of the Diva Project and Nova. And while they're gloating about their fancy ship the Seraph, it comes under attack. Cut to the Seraph where we find Gunvolt held at gunpoint by some Sumeragi soldiers. But they seem to have no idea who it is they're talking to as they try to open fire to no avail. After they find out, they promptly shit their pants and leave them open for you to zap them. Gunvolt also has a new mission control, Xiao and Quinn. Zeno and Moniqa are nowhere to be seen here. But anyway, this is our tutorial level. We get shown the ropes for how the game works. And per typical Mega Man tradition, we fight a big boss at the end that's incredibly easy. Only it's made even more easy as Joule, who as you may recall became one with Lumen and is pretty much living in Gunvolt, sang her song to give Gunvolt a powerup, so we have infinite EP and can stay in the air forever during this part. But once the mech is down, we have the issue of the Seraph currently on route to crashing into a skyscraper. __
