Back on the Seraph, Gunvolt comes across a robot holding on to a little girl. And as it seems to be his new habit, Gunvolt rescues her. Now comes the matter of stopping the Seraph. So, Gunvolt gets the idea to use his lightning to pull the Seraph like a magnet, with help from Joule of course. While this happens, Copen fires a laser at the Seraph, which seems to do the trick in some form as the Seraph isn't an issue afterwards. Gunvolt lands with the girl he saved in tow, and she happens to be who Copen was looking for. Her name is Mytyl, and what her relation to Copen is we shall see later. For now, Zonda makes a reappearance with a new friend, Tenjian, who freezes Copen and Gunvolt in place. Joule tries to make a stand, but ends up trapped in one of Zonda's mirrors and is then shattered by Tenjian, who gathers up the shards. Then Zonda's true form is revealed, as the whole Sumeragi thing was a ruse. Zonda is the leader of a group called Eden, who want to make a utopia for Adepts, and they plan to use Joule's power to do so. Anybody else getting X-Men vibes here? Anyway, Zonda leaves and Gunvolt fights Tenjian for the shards. And while Tenjian goes down very easily, he makes off with the shards, Copen snagging one of them and leaving with the girl. But Joule isn't completely gone. Her consciousness is still with Gunvolt, but most of her power is gone. She can only manifest as a mini version of herself now. __
