When I hear ARM I think of Azure Resource Manger. This is completely different right? as in ARM processer?
Hi Michael. In this context, yes, ARM refers to Arm64 processors.
Will these CPU's be available for use in PaaS services, such as API management?

Can ETL tools like Abinitio, Datastage and Informatice be run on Azure?
Yes, there're many ETL tools running on Azure. This can be done by leveraging IaaS, i.e. our VMs, or SaaS. The specifics of the most optimal configuration depend on a particular application and use case. How long can a burst event be sustained with the listed IOPS / BW numbers ?

Will there be a 96 core version similar to the Ev4?

We use Standard_D4s_v4 series for our workloads. Can you recommend a comparable (or even higher performance) size/sku that would provide monetary savings? And what would that cost saving potentially look like?. I am literally making VM size decisions today. Thanks in advance, and for answering my previous questions.
Hi Michael. You can consider D4as_v5 it should be more affordable and might even have better performance depending on the specific workload.
what OS flavors are available with ARM64 architecture VMs?
Hi Narsimulu, Arm64 VMs currently support Ubuntu 18.04, Ubuntu 20.04, CentOS 7.9, and Windows 11 Client Professional and Enterprise. Support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server, Debian, AlmaLinux, and Flatcar is on the way.
How was the benchmarks & pricing determined between Azure & AWS for MSF SQL Applications?

Disk encryption though CMK is still pre-production or production ready?
Hi Naresh. In general, we support CMK for disk encryption on Azure. If you are interested specifically in L-series, there can be limitations, which we are going to resolve soon.
