''BABYLON'' 100% (Demon) by Splash, Zoroa & Belonzik | Geometry Dash
7,783A solo project that Splash started in April of 2020, but ended up being collab between him Zoroa and Belonzik, all very talented creators and I have to say the wait was 100 percent worth it, this is one of the most impressive levels when it comes to effects that have been released recently. Going from the most basic aspects of the level, starting from the music, the sync is there and it's great, it fits the dark monochrome vibe of this perfectly, both in the slower parts and in the most erratic sections, including some very satisfying sync. The block design has basically a couple of styles you can spot throughout each part, being more rustic with some sort of sketched edges, or the cleaner 3D obstacles that come a bit later.
But the star of this show are definitely the effects combined with the backgrounds and art, right from the beginning you can tell how much work went into the vibe and atmosphere of this level, the creepy yet desperate and distorted pace of the level, the 3D colors and effects with some text appearing here and there with some very smooth animations as well. This beginning section is relatively slow, at least compared to what comes at the drop, something that can catch you completely off guard, the level explodes with all types of effects, the flashes of lights and colors, the way your ship and the obstacles themselves appear and reappear very rapidly, the scanlines as well, all of this while still having an incredibly satisfying sync. All of this before going back to a slow crawl that takes you through a star ridden abyss with different shapes and lines floating in the back.
