0Margit and my first visit to the Roundtable Hold, sandwiched between a couple minibosses and a bit of random Limgrave exploration. Nice to find a place to get Poisonbloom to make poison arrows in the future. Yeah, I'm building toward an archery build, with the eventual plan to go for something like a D&D style Ranger (bows, axes/swords, the power of nature, and animal buddies). It'll be a while before I go from the Lordsworn Greatsword to an axe, though.
A massive hit game from 2022, Elden Ring is the latest of From Software's "soulsbourne" games, mixing the deliberate combat and character customization of the earlier games in their catalogue with an open world exploration that calls back to the era of some of the earliest RPGs. Directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki (Dark Souls, Armored Core 4) with worldbuilding from George R. R. Martin (A Song of Ice and Fire), Elden Ring has become a near immediate cultural icon of gaming and fantasy.
