Tokuhiko "Bo" Uwabo was no slouch as a Sega "sound member," having a music-related role in well over 30 games. He was entrusted as Sound Director on such games as Michael Jackon's Moonwalker and Sonic the Hedgehog 3, demonstrating the company's faith in him to produce memorable music. The soundtrack for Space Harrier II is largely quality stuff, but this song which plays during the first boss battle against Trimuller is a curious one.
