Time to start a new let play and the results of the pole overwhelming support the choice of Badlands. I had a quick watch over the last video of trying the start of this map and I recall why this map hurts so much. You get very few seeds and critters to start so food is really hard to come by. Did I mention their is no slime so no mushrooms to save you either. Also no slime biomes means no gold amalgam so no high temperature machines until you get steel. Additionally you are surrounded by Granite and Obsidian so good luck leaving your starting biome any time soon. This should hopefully be an interesting play though.
