A 1-credit clear of the arcade game Bagman, played with WolfMAME 0.250 as part of the Summer Yolympics 2023. Score: 77,890. An arcade game where you play an escaped convict running around a mine, grabbing money-bags and stashing them in your wheelbarrow, all while avoiding the guards. It's a very stark world with a plain black background and - most of the time - no background music, just the sounds of minecarts and running guards. I remember watching the attract mode of this game when it came out, wondering how anyone would ever clear it. Eventually, people worked out tricks to misdirect the guards - I used strategies learned from a Yolympics teammate to eke out a clear of the first loop. It felt like stepping back in time, into the dimly-lit arcade, where the cabinet had been playing the attract mode for 40 years, and picking up where I left off.
