Thumbprint Cookies

Ingredients
113g butter
55g brown sugar
1 egg
1/4tsp vanilla
160g flour
1/8tsp salt
3/4C chopped walnuts
jam or custard

Notes Mix butter and sugar until creamy. Separate egg. Add the yolk and vanilla to the butter mixture. Mix flour and salt together. Slowly add flour to butter mixture. Roll the mixture into little balls. Roll the balls in the egg white from earlier. Then roll in chopped nuts. Press with you thumb or a spoon to make an indentation. Spoon some jam or custard into the indentation. Bake at 190C for 12-15 minutes.
