I decided to film a kind of how-to for baking the cookie recipe I came up with so that others can see and understand the recipe a bit easier.

I go through the ingredients and my process of making them, enjoy.

Final's Choc Chunk Cookies

150g salted butter, melted
85g light brown sugar
85g golden caster sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 large egg
300g plain flour
½ tsp bicarbonate of soda
¼ tsp salt
120g white choc chunks
120g milk choc chunks

Melt 150g butter (pan or microwave), put it to the side.

Mix 85g light brown sugar and 85g golden caster sugar in a bowl until no lumps and evenly mixed.

Add the melted butter and beat until creamy and looks like caramel.

Beat in 2 tsp vanilla extract and 1 large egg.

Sift 300g plain flour, ½ tsp bicarbonate of soda and ¼ tsp salt into the bowl and mix with a spoon or spatula.

Add the choc chunks and stir well, making sure they are mixed in well.

Cover the bowl in clingfilm and leave in the fridge for 2+ hours (until stiff).

Heat the oven to 190C/fan 170C/gas 5 and line two baking sheets with non-stick baking paper.

Use an ice-cream scoop to make rough balls of dough on the baking paper, they will spread so leave around 5-10cm between each ball. - The mixture will make approximately 16 cookies.

Bake for 9 mins. The cookies should be a golden colour with very lightly browned edges.

Leave on the tray for about 2 mins, then slide the paper off the tray onto a cooling rack. After about 10mins, remove the cookies from the paper and leave to cool fully.
