So here is the story on This video:
This video is a test of a concept I had for doing a series redoing all of Star Trek and maybe other franchises in a silent movie format farcical comedy this is NOT the final version of how I plan to do it, but it is close to how I will do it. For the final version I plan to add some voice overs and more variety to the music. So after doing this test I figured I would upload it so I could ask you my subscribers for input as to what you think.
Interestingly enough, while the Google algorithm bots had no problem whatsoever with the video, someone at CBS filed a manual copyright strike against the video, this angered me quite a bit since the video was unlisted at the time, so that means that apparently Google shares unlisted video information with CBS so they can view your unlisted content, but I digress. CBS claimed that my video was a violation of their copyright and removed my rights to to allow anyone to see the video effectively banning the video worldwide. I immediately filed a counterclaim citing legal precedence of Luther R. Campbell v. Acuff Rose Music, Inc. or as it is more commonly known, 2 live crew v. Roy Orbison. in which Roy Orbison sued 2 Live Crew because 2 live crew used Orbison's song 'oh Pretty Woman' in their song 'Pretty Woman' the judge ruled that the 2 live crew song 'Pretty Woman' was a parody in that is changed the format of the song to a different genre of music and therefore was protected under fair use. I then cited that not only did I change a serious Sci-Fi Drama into a farcical comedy, I changed it from color to black and white, from a 'talkie' to a 'silent' picture, and even changed the names of some characters, the motivations of some characters and some story elements. On top of all of this my work was in no way detrimental to the brand of Star Trek as it would only encourage people to go and watch the real thing.
After the CBS lawyers reviews my appeal they finally released the video, and here it is... so now... I still would like your input as to how to improve the format. Keep in mind that any changes that would make it more like the original would be out of the question. however I already plan to add 'old timey' voice overs and more variety to the music so please do not suggest those. thank you for your time:
