Corvus Draconus, professional tinkerer, realm-hopping wizard without peer, Fate's Favored, Chosen of Asharah, disgruntled tool of the Gods and general all-around sloth, has found hirself the unwilling host of a rather horrific parasite: an Illithid tadpole. Accompanied by a band of similarly afflicted by unlikely compatible individuals, she seeks a way to evict hir new resident - or at least find a way to make it start paying rent - before shi, hirself falls to its temptations, and becomes an Illithid in turn.
