Hello Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, and all those that may fall in between!
I am No Time Dad and today, I am bringing you some Circle of the Moon Druid gameplay!
Patch 4 is finally here and it comes with a whole crapload of changes. Tons of quality of life enhancements have been added. New spells, animations, updated UI, and so much more.
The biggest addition of all though, is the Druid. So, I rolled up a new character to test it out!
The Druid has access to the Goodberry skill, which is a huge advantage in it's own right.
*Cat Form* - This form lets you sneak around without raising much suspicion, be careful though, it only has a few hit points, so if you are caught it might be the end.
*Wolf Form* This seemed to be the weakest wild shape form out of the combat ready forms. At least when it comes to normal encounters. The wolf has an ability that makes the next attack against that target a critical hit. The bite attack is 2d6, but it didn't seem like I could land very many hits.
*Badger* Probably the most fun combat ability out of the wild shape forms. You can burrow under ground and travel to another location. If an enemy is within range from the eruption point, they must make a save or fall prone. The versatility of this skill alone makes it amazing.
*Spider* This spider is a freaking beast. It's bite hits hard on its own, but then it poisons the enemy! You can also spit webs as a bonus action which lays down a huge area of difficult terrain, which you are immune to. Then the web can be set on fire. The spider has a relatively high HP pool too.
*Polar Bear* This form is exclusive to the Circle of the Moon Druids. Man oh man is it a freakin' beast. High AC. High HP. Hits like a freight train. Oh, it also has a taunt. The bear is nigh unstoppable.
This is all before you take into account that you can spend spell slots to heal yourself in any of these animal forms.
It is easy to say that in early game, just like in 5E, are overpowered as hell.
