Baldur’s Gate 3 Let’s Play – Episode 039 | A Long Rest
🎮 Episode Summary:
After surviving the horrors of the Shadow-Cursed Lands, it’s time for a much-needed long rest—though peace proves elusive. Embracing the strange power of the Mind Flayer tadpole, I make a fateful choice: abandoning the path of the Ranger to become a Warlock of the Great Old One. The transformation feels disturbingly natural, as whispers from the void grow louder.
Our rest is soon interrupted by Mizora, who arrives with a “request” from Zariel herself. We’re to recover a mysterious asset from a nearby dungeon. Wyll resists, yet we manage to bargain with Mizora—if we succeed, she will release Wyll from his infernal contract. Karlach is furious at the notion of aiding Zariel, while Astarion expresses curiosity, hoping that Raphael might appear again.
Meanwhile, Halsin shares new insight into the Shadow Curse, mentioning a boy named Thaniel who might hold the key to ending it. And as the camp settles into uneasy slumber, the Dream Visitor graces our sleep once more—this time in far more revealing attire than before, leaving us with questions, temptations, and dread in equal measure.
