Hey everyone! Today, I’m super excited to talk about the brand-new Baldur’s Gate 3 Mod Manager introduced in Patch 7 and highlight my top three favorite mods that you definitely need to check out. Let’s dive in!
First up, let’s talk about the Mod Manager. You can now access mods directly from the game’s main menu! That’s right, no more fiddling around with external tools or programs. Once you enter the Mod Manager, you’ll have access to a full toolkit where you can browse, install, enable, and disable mods right from inside the game. This makes modding so much more accessible and streamlined. You can also manage your mods for multiplayer, ensuring that everyone in your party has the same mods installed and enabled, making co-op a breeze. With support for mods expected to extend to consoles soon, this new tool is a game-changer for Baldur’s Gate 3 players.
Now, let’s talk about my top three favorite mods. First on my list is The Mystic Class. This mod brings the Mystic from Dungeons & Dragons’ Unearthed Arcana into the world of Baldur's Gate 3. The Mystic never made it into the official D&D books, but now you can experience this psionics-based class in the game. The Mystic relies on their psychic abilities to overcome challenges, whether it’s reading minds, fading into invisibility, or transforming their bodies into living iron. They are incredibly versatile, able to fill multiple roles, and offer endless replayability. The mind-bending abilities of this class make it a must-try for players who enjoy theorycrafting and pushing the boundaries of their character builds. If you’re into psionics, or just want something truly unique, this mod is perfect for you.
Next up, we have Kay’s Hair Extensions, which is another one of my favorites. This mod focuses on character customization, giving you more hairstyle options by cutting and combining parts from the vanilla hairstyles. You can find these new hairpieces in the Chin section of the "General" tab in Character Customization. Whether you’re going for a more stylized look or want to create something completely original, this mod offers a wide range of creative possibilities. Some of the styles are even heavily edited, giving you unique variations. The screenshot attached shows how cool these new hair options are, and they work seamlessly with the game’s aesthetic. If you’re all about customizing your Tav, this mod is a must.
Lastly, let’s talk about the Faerun Colors mod. This one is perfect for players who want to represent their favorite deities or just want to add a bit more variety to their armor and gear. Faerun Colors adds themed dyes to the game, inspired by different deities from the Faerûn pantheon. The creator of this mod started with colors inspired by Shar and has since expanded to other gods. The mod will gradually add more dyes over time, giving us even more color schemes to play around with. It’s not a major overhaul, but it’s a subtle, beautiful touch that lets you personalize your character even more. I love this mod because it adds variety without being overwhelming and lets you tweak your character’s look to match their backstory or alignment.

I highly recommend checking out The Mystic Class for its depth and versatility, Kay’s Hair Extensions for those extra customization options, and Faerun Colors for a touch of thematic flair.
