In the first chapter (prologue) of Baldur's Gate: The Siege Of Dragonspear, the expansion pack bridging the gap between Baldur's Gate and Baldur's Gate II, we return as the party of David, now hunting an acolyte of the late Sarevok, the mage Korlasz, through her family crypt, where she has concealed both herself and some of Sarevok's secrets. With Imoen now serving as our guide rather than an active party member, David explores the crypt, flushes out most of its undead inhabitants, and ultimately forces Korlasz to surrender to justice. This all seems, however, to be just a prelude to the main events, as a more serious threat begins to loom from the North, where a mysterious leader named Caelar Argent has put together an entire crusade, threatening the security of Baldur's Gate and Faerun in general.
