Bambootracker Bits - Illusory Imperial Capital (Seihou Shuusou Gyoku) [OPNA/PC-98]
You know, despite it not being very illusory (or a capital, at that), the design of the place looks really cool!

To give a bit of context, since I started using Bambootracker I've mostly been relying on trial and error to make instruments and/or porting instruments from Deflemask's Genesis set. It hasn't really gotten me very far since I'm not nearly as good with making FM instruments as I am with making Famitracker instruments, and while I did enjoy the results of what I've done before I always have the nagging feeling that I could be doing better with different instruments. One day I saw that Silent Sinner in Scarlet, another chiptune artist who works with MML (something I am *garbage* at and need to eventually learn), had uploaded an MML instrument set that ZUN used for the PC-98 Touhou games, and while none of them could be imported to Bambootracker I decided to try converting a couple of those by hand into that program's instrument format. Then I took a few of the instruments and made a sample song to see if I could make something in the style of the Touhou Old Works.
This isn't that song (dunno when/if I'll upload that), but then I had the urge to cover a Seihou song soon after. I decided to go with Illusory Imperial Capital because it felt catchy enough, and because I didn't want to redo Primrose Shiver yet. With any luck I'll be able to convert more instruments soon so I can make more PC-remixes in the style of PC-98 Touhou.
