Banjo-Tooie (N64) 100% Playthrough - 01. Introduction
2Decided to finally record some gameplay, after so long. An important distinction this time around, is that this video is not a Let's Play, but rather a Playthrough; no commentary, only gameplay and audio (and the occasional meme thrown in for good measure). I kinda wanted to make a video that focuses mostly on being more of a guide type thing. Not only to test my new setup and capture card (both of which seem to work pretty well from what I can tell); so I hope to do more very soon. This run is also segmented, but that shouldn't make a difference, since I'm not passing this off as a speedrun or anything like that. Each recording session, I did a stage, and would then Save and Quit.
Banjo-Tooie is a bit trickier to approach after all these years. I used to love it when I was a kid, it has a lot of good aspects to it, but unfortunately; it struggles to maintain the consistent quality that Banjo-Kazooie had; often sacrificing good level design and gameplay moments for very empty levels centered around a gimmick. However, A+ efforts are awarded for the improved Storyline that acts as a true follow up, and the sheer amount of ambition this game oozes with.
All the gameplay was recorded on my original N64 and Cartridge, and the gameplay/audio was recorded using the Razer Ripsaw HD Capture Card; and OBS Studio.
