Biography
Songs like 'How To Destroy Christianism', wielding a beastly war metal chorus only to spoil it in a jumble of noise and hysterical screams... Tracks like 'Be The War', whose call to arms you will be forced to obey... Their characteristic own brand of punk in 'Jesus The Pederast', were they are finally unable to withhold that black fury that, in fact, takes this whole album hostage... 'Pig Crap Shitty Christ' and its crazy 56-second run into a literal explosion... They are Barbarian Swords and this is Totemic Anal Turbofucker, their putrid and abhorrent new album.
Expect no mercy, they have never had any. This time however, don’t expect any concessions to doom either. Gratis hate, straightforward hedonism, nihilism and misanthropy to a sadistic grade. In their third LP, the Catalans deliver a barrage of tracks packed with blasphemous pestilence, and fleshly and smelly poison spat off the infected jaws of Von Päx, in a recording, mixing and mastering, of course, by Javi Félez in his Moontower Studios.
As if it was not enough, all this is rounded off with ‘Dios Te Salve’, an intro created and executed by the legendary Ebola of Cryfemal and MuerT, and even a version of ‘Cerebros Destruidos’, the incisive anthem of punk band Eskorbuto, and that is some deranged soloing by their swordsmen too!
It is not at all surprising to see these guys closing dates to tour Poland and the Czech Republic with the historic Varathron, or even accompany the mythical Blasphemy on their forthcoming visit to Rome, Italy.
It seemed impossible, but after their applauded Worms, its live replica and the quite well-received split Tetrarchia Ex Bestia, Barbarian Swords have done it again: Totemic Anal Turbofucker is the greatest orgy of savagery, filth and violence they have ever given birth to.
