Bard's Tale 4 Beta: Soft Lock
1Yup. Impossible to win fight because of the way they've designed things. It's a perfect storm of designs:
1) Grid-locked attacks making the enemy unable to hit the back row
2) Bizarre armor mechanics that result in attacks saying they do 0 damage when they do 7 and vice versa
3) In-fight regenerating mana meaning the paladin will always be able to heal himself (or it's a cooldown power)
4) Invincibility powers meaning every third hit will do 0 damage
5) No run button meaning the only way to end the fight it to intentionally lose or exit the game
And yes, this entire video is just these two fighting.
