Bare Knuckle: The Next Generation is a 2-player SOR fangame produced by daniel99j with the OpenBOR engine. It features the usual cast of playable SOR characters with optional colour palettes, including a custom-designed Adam Hunter made using a modified version of Axel's BKII Beta sprites (complete with Dragon Punch special). Also noteworthy here is that this is the only fangame to date which uses BKII Beta 'gorilla' Max as a playable main character. The game has some fairly long loading times compared to other OpenBOR titles and the story screens are written in Slovakian (the game was made in the Czech Republic), but it remains an interesting title just the same, and an essential addition to any SOR fan's collection.
