In many cultures, gods and spirits of the dead are often grim and off putting. But in Haitian Vodou, the Lwa, or Loa, of the dead is charismatic, fun loving, sexual, occasionally vulgar, but always classy. Enter Baron Samedi, or Bawon Samdi, the well dressed, skull faced Lwa who welcomes the deceased into the land of the dead. Everything in regards to the dead and dying is under the care of this trickster friend on the other side.

MYTHOLOGY HAS BEEN TOLD AND RETOLD IN MANY FORMS ACROSS TIME, STORIES AND ACCOUNTS MAY VARY.
