๐ In the late 1980s and early 1990s, there was a subgenre of action games where you would take control of a single vehicle and attack an enemy base, slowly weakening it by destroying its defenses and enemy vehicles protecting it. The most well-known series in this genre are the Strike games, beginning with 'Desert Strike' from 1992. Base attack games would often have a military setting, sometimes with sci-fi elements. This video series aims to show off a few of these games, often running on the MiSTer hardware emulation platform.
This is a demake by Binary Asylum that recreates the core gameplay of Amiga game Zeewolf in the PICO-8 fantasy console.
