*About the 89 Comic*
Batman 1989 was first pitched by Kate Leth and Joe Quinones to DC Comics in late 2015 or early 2016. it would've reunited Fans with Michael Keaton, Billy Dee and Michelle Pfeifer's Catwoman. Plus introduced New characters Marlon Wayne's Robin, Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn and various Bat Villians that never appeared in Tim Burton's World.
This pitch didn't work out. But it sparked interest in Keaton as Batman again and revisiting His Earth! With the upcoming release of Flashpoint 2022 where Keaton will reprise His Famous Super Hero Role for the first Time since 1992! Sam Hamm has teamed with Artist Joe Q to return Fan's to Burton's Batman in a 6 Issue Comic that will run from August 2021 till January 2022.
