There are two things in life that I very much love. Arcade racing games and Batman. Put the two together and you've got yourself a game I'll definitely want to try out. I've only ever played this with an Xbox 360 controller up until now, but I had my racing wheel out the other day, so I tried it out for the first time with this game and the FFB plugin - wow what a difference it makes compared to playing with a pad. All the tactile feedback back from the weapons is great.

I'm not sure why there were big black borders around the screen when I was playing. I had to update my GPU drivers awhile back and I needed to mess around with the NVIDIA display panel for ages afterwards to get my desktop to fit properly on the screen afterwards (my main monitor is an old TV and seems to need a weird custom resolution to fit the screen properly). You'd think it would just display at 1920x1080, so I don't know if that might be the culprit...

There's a bit at the end of the Joker mission where you need to use the keyboard numberpad to input a code. When I played with an Xbox 360 pad this worked without issue, I just used my keyboard and input the code. Now that I've swapped over to a wheel, the keystrokes wouldn't register and I couldn't complete the mission. Weird. I think I've found an online solution (apparently you need to press Num Lock), but my wheel was packed away back in the cupboard by this time I read this, so next time I dig it out I'll give it a try...

This is a good fun game, in that coin guzzling arcade kind of way. I don't really know how you're supposed to avoid being shot though... I love the huge selection of different Batmobiles at your disposal and the voice acting, whilst obviously not Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy, seems pretty top notch.
