Batman Arkham Asylum on GT 710 GDDR5 + Core2Duo E8400 + 4GB RAM ddr3 (Benchmarks)
A Core2Duo with 4GB of RAM and G(M)45 onboard graphics (GMA x4500HD or 4500MHD) cannot run this game with any degree of playability - but stick an entry-level, albeit anemic graphics card in there and it's a whole other story.
Low powered video cards like the GT710 are perfect additions to any PC built from 2008-2012 (especially those old office machines). A "slower" (and really cheap 2nd hand) Fermi GT710 with DDR3 memory would be a good match for older Core2Duos that shipped with onboard G31-G43 chipsets whereas faster Core2Duos, Core2Quads and the first few gens of i3/i5s would be better with the Kepler GDDR5 variant of the GT710 or another similarly powered card. Hunting down old DDR3 system memory is becoming less of a bargain so getting a used, well-fitted (performancewise) graphics card for 15-20$ will boost up your old 4GB RAM Sandy Bridge system more than filling every RAM slot ever could (although I recommend at the very least 6GB RAM to allow any C2Q/i3/i5 to stretch its legs a bit).
Thanks for watching!
