after the events of Arkham City. With the Joker dead, Scarecrow emerges as the main antagonist, threatening to unleash a new fear toxin on Gotham City. He forms an alliance with a mysterious figure known as the Arkham Knight, who has a personal vendetta against Batman.
Batman must confront the Arkham Knight, unravel his connection to his past, and stop the fear toxin from spreading. Along the way, Batman faces numerous threats, including corrupted versions of his allies, and must ultimately face the truth about his identity and his role as Gotham's protector.
