RétroGaming 2.0 ;0)Presents you "Batman Forever" (not to be confused with the similar beat-'em-up with the same name) is a 2D belt-scrolling brawler developed by Iguana and released by Acclaim for arcades (running the Saturn-based Sega ST-V hardware) in early 1996.

Loosely based on the 1995 film of the same name, up to two players team up as either superhero Batman or his sidekick Robin as they set out to foil the plans of criminals Two-Face and The Riddler.

Unlike the version released for earlier consoles, this version features a faster-paced system with a traditional arcade beat-'em-up style, featuring numerous power-ups and a dedicated combo system. While some aspects (like the backgrounds) are rendered in 3D, the game makes heavy use of pre-rendered 3D graphics.

This game is notable for being the first arcade game released by Acclaim and the only arcade game developed by Iguana. It's also notable for its unique control panel, which is shaped like the Batman symbol. The game was later ported in late 1996 (for North America) and 1997 (in Europe and Japan) on the Sony PlayStation, Sega Saturn, and PC as Batman Forever: The Arcade Game.

RétroGaming 2.0 ;0) Vous présente "Batman Forever"(à ne pas confondre avec le beat-'em-up similaire du même nom) est un bagarreur 2D à défilement de ceinture développé par Iguana et publié par Acclaim pour les arcades (utilisant le matériel Sega ST-V basé sur Saturne) au début de 1996 .

Librement inspiré du film du même nom de 1995, jusqu'à deux joueurs font équipe en tant que super-héros Batman ou son acolyte Robin alors qu'ils tentent de déjouer les plans des criminels Two-Face et The Riddler.

Contrairement à la version publiée pour les consoles précédentes, cette version propose un système plus rapide avec un style beat-'em-up d'arcade traditionnel, avec de nombreux bonus et un système de combo dédié. Alors que certains aspects (comme les arrière-plans) sont rendus en 3D, le jeu fait un usage intensif de graphiques 3D pré-rendus.

Ce jeu est remarquable pour être le premier jeu d'arcade publié par Acclaim et le seul jeu d'arcade développé par Iguana.
