Thanks to the Jokers plan, Bruce is released from Arkham Asylum and he returns to Gotham a changed man. Harvey Dent has set up roadblocks, and Bruce finds himself on the mayor's shit list. Harvey calls Bruce and tells him that basically all of Gotham is out to get him. The GCPD is out to harass Bruce and the citizens of Gotham are quick to join in. Bruce instructs Alfred to ram the barricade. Salena is planning to leave Gotham while shit hits the fan with Harvey. Bruce heads to the Batcave to work on a cure for the drug that is still affecting him. With a cure created, Bruce is feeling a lot better and ready to take Joker's advice of heading to the Vale house as Batman. Turns out the Vale's are dead, and Vicki is obviously to blame. With a little detective work, Batman is able to piece together the crime and finds a small boy hiding in the house. The boy (who I suspect to one day become Robin) is questioned about what happened, than out of nowhere one of Batman's attack drones now controlled by Penguin appears. For some reason Batman's technology fails to work but thanks to young Robin, Batman destroys the drone and thanks the boy for saving his life. The GCPD arrive and Batman admits that Vicki Vale is Lady Arkham, and that she has stashed the drugs at her familys warehouse.
