The SNES Batman is very clearly early in development, if not a proof-of-concept to pitch to DC Comics: only two stages are present, with the latter looking rather incomplete. Only one enemy type (using poorly-upscaled Double Dragon 3 sprites) is present, though the Joker is fought at the end of the first stage (albeit with his attack sprites being glitchy versions of the other enemy's). Breakable objects are also around, though they're empty.

For quite a while, the game was known as "Real Shitty Batman!" due to the ROM header having been edited to said name. Many who've played it have agreed: it's a real shitty Batman.
