Il ajoute trois nouveaux combattants de départ; Tracy et Chaos avec le boss final du jeu original, Gaia revenant sans armure et avec un tout nouvel ensemble de mouvements. Il y a aussi trois nouveaux boss et des personnages cachés portant le nombre total de combattants à 15 (au lieu de 10). Toshinden 2, en plus d'attaques spéciales supplémentaires pour chaque personnage, ajoute plusieurs attaques de course à chaque personnage : la possibilité de frapper un adversaire au sol avec de nouvelles attaques au sol et les puissantes attaques Overdrive qu'il faut remplir une barre en utilisant d'autres attaques pour être capable d'utiliser.

RétroGaming 2.0 ;0)Presents you "Battle Arena Toshinden 2 " it's the first sequel to Battle Arena Toshinden. It adds three new starting fighters; Tracy and Chaos with the original game's final boss, Gaia returning un-armoured and with a completely new move set. There are also three new bosses and hidden characters raising the total number of fighters to 15 (up from 10). Toshinden 2, on top of additional special attacks for every character, adds several running attacks to each character: the ability to strike a grounded opponent with new ground attacks and the powerful Overdrive attacks that one must fill up a bar by using other attacks to be able to use.
