Sudden Strike 4 is a real-time tactics video game set in World War II. It is the fifth game in the Sudden Strike series and the fourth standalone release. It is the first game developed by Kite Games, a collaboration of industry veteran game developers.Originally, it was scheduled to be released for PC and PlayStation 4 on June 27, 2017, but was delayed until August 11 and 15, for PC and PlayStation 4, respectively.
Battle of Bataan:
In order to gain control over the Southwest Pacific, Imperial Japan invaded one of the last islands held by the Allies in the region, the Philippine Islands, on 7 January, 1942. Bataan, an elevated peninsula on the main island of Luzon was chosen by the combined American and Filipino forces as their defensive position after the Japanese troops started landing on the North and South end of Luzon. The swiftly and successfully executed air raids on the American airfields allowed the invaders to land relatively unhindered at first. when the main attack force landed, though, the defenders counterattacked and attempted to hold their lines on both the North and South front lines. By persistently pushing forward, Japanese troops forced the American and Filipino forces into a fighting retreat. Eventually, all but the Bataan peninsula was abandoned, and soon it, too, fell on 9 April, after powerful artillery support, Japanese reinforcements, and lack of supplies collapsed its defenses.
