Battleborn IMPOSSIBLE WIN - The Experiment Advanced Difficulty (Servers Shut Down 1/25/21)
2Well Gearbox announced the shutdown for the 25th of January, but it seems the game is still playable? For all we know it could shut down on the 31st. I'm not sure.
Anyway, the following gameplay was recorded on October 10th, 2020 with Doritoviet, and showcases what I'm calling an "impossible win" on The Experiment, Advanced difficulty. Why? Well for all the people who didn't play Battleborn, let me explain:
The Experiment is a defense wave mission that you play late into the Battleborn campaign, and it's quite difficult (at least for me and my trophy hunting group. We had hardly been playing for two months when we attempted this, so it could have very well been our lack of experience).
The mission requires you defend two central points from multiple waves of enemies, and a mini boss, while defending smaller points around the map in between. This central point takes HEAVY damage, and does not regenerate it's health after each wave, meaning if it takes too much damage, it may not survive the next wave, and you'll need to restart.
During the first three waves of our playthrough, our central point lost nearly half of it's health (not shown due to a file corruption, which is why I'm explaining this), but not wanting to give up so easily, we pressed on. You'll see the point's heath at 8:16 for reference.
What followed was possibly the single most intense match of Battleborn I had ever played, with us completing the defense section of the mission with hardly a sliver of health remaining.
