All you need is an install of either game, WinRFA, notepad, and good eyesight and memory.
WinRFA download - Portable/AiO
https://www.bf-games.net/downloads/301/winrfa.html

How to unpack RFA files. How to edit vehicle templates and objectspawns. How to edit controlpoints. Keeping things server-side. What's the difference between CSM and SSM? Organizing folders for modding with redundancy to minimize full game reinstalls/corrupted or missing data. Using setteam, osid and team 0 to maximise flexibility of the original objectspawn templates.

Useful code to add or change in objectspawntemplates.con:
1. ObjectTemplate.maxNrOfObjectSpawned x
(x = 1-6, if line is missing the default is 1)
2. ObjectTemplate.setObjectTemplate 1 x
ObjectTemplate.setObjectTemplate 2 x
ObjectTemplate.setObjectTemplate 0 x
(x = desired vehicle name/s from the objects.rfa file. Team 0 is rarely used in default maps in either game, but can allow for vehicles to continue spawning when using Object.setOSId in objectspawns.con. While allowing for 3 different vehicle choices when using Object.setTeam in unchanging spawns [where object.setosid ISN'T used for the spawn])

Useful code to add or change in objectspawns.con:
1. Object.setOSId x
(x = the flag ID you wish the spawn to be "tied" to and have it's object template take the team choice from. Refer to the line ObjectTemplate.spawnGroupId x in controlpointtemplates.con to know which flag it's from if you can't tell based off the existing info in objectspawns.con)

2. Object.setTeam x
(x = 0 [Neutral], 1 [NVA], 2 [US]. Will pick the vehicle from the line ObjectTemplate.setObjectTemplate x in the objectspawntemplates.con for this object spawn.)

Always have an object spawn set with EITHER BUT NOT BOTH a line for Object.setOSID or Object.setTeam

Thanks to Powerstomp (Easy Prey/Death Server - Vietnam) & the Hello Clan (special mention to BangBangOw, LuccaWulf & IceSkater). Also thanks to Team Simple, Henk, and Black Mamba from current day BF1942. And to folks who helped me pick up the basics way back in 2009 (Raybo, Zoolander, Behemoth) from the Secret Weapons Demo Community.
