The Battlefield 2 mod that im playing today is: BF2 Conflicts Mod (version 0.3 as of the making of this video)
A mod that aims to replicate the likes of Operation Flashpoint games, adding it a bit of realism to the battles while at the same time keeping the original vanilla feel of BF2.

Starting off with the mod content: THE MAPS

There's 10 as of version 0.3 and they are well made, they fit perfectly inside the mod and help create that combat atmosphere, especially with the distant gunfire sounds implemented into them that further enhance the mood, it makes you feel like you're inside them and the sense of danger is there when the distant gunfights sound off in the distance, props to the Development team for doing a nice job with the maps and combat atmosphere.

As of GAMEPLAY, there's 3 factions in 0.3: USMC, Insurgents and the PLA, which i was surprised to see the PLA in this mod, further hinting the fact that the devs got the inspiration from Operation Flashpoint: Dragon rising and Red river to make this mod. Every faction has its own guns, each of them with nice models, animations and sound effects made by the mod team, from their Moddb.com official page, is expected to see gun unlocks and weapon variations per class in their future releases.

For the making of this mod i decided to increase the difficulty to the maximum in order to spice things up as in my opinion playing on Easy does a disservice to the mod and hurts the combat atmosphere, hence why you see me dying often in the gameplay, it encourages you to team up, stay together, take cover most of the time and carefully plan your next move and not acting recklessly on the combat zone.


Conflicts 0.3 is a good BF2 mod if you're looking for a solid Operation flashpoint style experience, it has a solid foundation and if well maintained with more content and love, it can evolve to a much bigger mod or even an standalone game just like Project reality and Squad, i can see it.
