If you ever ask me, What is your most favourite BF2 mods of all time? one of the answers would be BF2 IDF Fight for independence.

Basically if you ever wanted to experience the 6-Day War, the War of Attrition, and the Yom Kippur War in Battlefield 2 then this is it, and it does a good job at that.

Starting with the most important aspects of the mod, the vehicle combat, EXCELLENT IN EVERY ASPECT, its Brutal, Superb, realistic and highly effective against both infantry and armored targets. There's always that sense of satisfaction and relief when destroying tanks as they blow up in pieces and you see their turrets go up in flames from their destroyed hulls, its amazing.

Also using the mounted machineguns like the M2 .50 Cal browning or the Soviet DSHK feels badass as you tear apart the enemy infantry ahead of you while hearing the amazing sound effects implemented into them.

As for the Infantry combat, well, its realistic and challenging, firing in full auto is never the best course of action as you end up scattering all bullets around your enemies and wasting ammo, so you obviously want to fire in semi-auto and save as many bullets as you can, or fire in short bursts, triying to kill enemies with Sniper rifles here is kinda difficult tho even tho the sights are perfectly aligned with the enemy, it just keeps missing somehow as is if the shots go through their bodies, its just weird..

About the maps, there's a lot and some focuse more on Vehicle combat rather than infantry combat. You're gonna a good time destroying tanks in IDF Mod..
